  • A construction project schedule is a projected timetable of construction operations that will serve as the principal guidance for project implementation.
  • Schedules are management tools that owners need in order to forecast the project’s completion date, predict cash flow requirements, and for project control, while contractors need them in order to ensure that he has the ability to meet the owner’s requirements, to have an efficient work plan, to coordinate all his activities and of his subcontractors, predict his cash flow, to plan material procurement, and to effectively control project activities.
  • Most construction failures are mainly caused by project cash flow problems and are largely being attributed to poor project scheduling.
